Daily electricity consumption and peak demand records for Kerala were reset yet again on Saturday (April 18, 2026). Daily consumption stood at 117.15 million units (mu) and peak demand, 6,033 megawatts (MW).

The previous all-time highs for Kerala were 116.11 mu and 6,013 MW respectively, recorded on Friday (April 17).
