New Delhi: Meta has officially announced and confirmed that it is going globally to rolling out its latest subscription-based version called Instagram Plus. Meta has said, “We’re launching Instagram Plus, a new subscription designed to give you more of what you love about Instagram. Instagram Plus offers exclusive features to help you express yourself, connect deeper with friends, and customize your experience in new ways.”
However, the older version isn’t changing, and it will always remain free. The latest subscription is meant to offer an optional upgrade for users who want more control, deeper insights, and premium features. The latest subscription offers premium features such as Story Spotlight, Super Hearts, Multiple Story Audiences, and Story Extend.
Users can offer their stories greater visibility via Story Spotlight, while Super Hearts enables them to reach friends’ stories with the animated hearts that appear across the platform.
Through multiple story audiences, users can create custom audience lists for more targeted sharing, and story extend lets stories remain visible for 48 hours rather than the standard 24 hours. The package also adds the latest viewing and analytics tools, such as Story Preview and Story Rewatch Insights, which offer data on how many times the story has been rewatched.
Users can also use the Search Viewer List to check whether a specific person has viewed their story quickly. The subscription extends profile and personalization options like a custom application icon, a custom bio, and so on. Post Directly to Profile allows users to share content to their profile or highlights without it appearing in friends’ feeds.
