President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday praised the Mitti Cafe at Rashtrapati Bhavan, describing it as a “symbol of inclusion, equality, and limitless possibilities."

In a post on X, President Murmu said the Cafe reflects the spirit of empowerment and dignity for persons with disabilities.

“The Mitti Café at Rashtrapati Bhavan stands as a symbol of inclusion, equality, and limitless possibilities. A matter of pride for all, especially Divyangjan and their families, the Café welcomes visitors with warmth and smiles. It inspires everyone to build a more inclusive and compassionate society," the official handle of the President of India tweeted.

The President urged visitors to stop by the cafe while visiting the Rashtrapati Bhavan, highlighting its role in empowering Divyangjan and their families.

“Do remember to visit the Mitti Café when you are at Rashtrapati Bhavan," she added.

The initiative provides livelihood opportunities to persons with disabilities by employing them in the hospitality sector. The Cafe is part of a wider network of Mitti Cafes across India, known for their mission to promote inclusion and economic independence for individuals with physical, intellectual, and psychiatric disabilities.
