President, PM's Odisha outreach, to launch projects worth Rs 47,000 crore today

Prime Minister Narenrda Modi and President Droupadi Murmu are on a visit to Odisha's Mayurbhanj district to celebrate the President's 68th birthday in her hometown of Paharpur. During the visit, both leaders offered prayers at the sacred Santali Jahera and Ho Jahera groves, participating in traditional nature-based worship revered by the local tribal communities.

The visit is part of a mega tribal outreach initiative, which included a tour of a local skill development center and a school to highlight efforts aimed at empowering tribal populations through education and skill development. The trip also marks the completion of two years of the state government.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister and the President will participate in a major public program in Rairangpur, where development projects worth over forty-seven thousand crore rupees will be inaugurated. These projects span multiple sectors, including energy, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and irrigation.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit West Bengal to participate in further public meetings and upcoming yoga day celebrations.
