‘Just my way of getting her to do it’

While Priyanka Chopra Jonas may be winning hearts on screen with her latest film Heads of State, she admits that there's one task she just can’t seem to master in real life - doing laundry. And in a refreshingly candid confession, the actress shared that she once cleverly got her mother-in-law, Denise Miller-Jonas, to do it for her.

Speaking to People magazine, Priyanka said, “Laundry is a hard chore for me. I find it tough. I'll always try to get someone else to do it.” ‘Just my way of getting her to do my laundry’Recounting the moment she got Denise to help out, Priyanka added, “I can steam an iron, I can fold. But just getting through the process of laundry is just really tough. Too many buttons, too many choices, too many little things... My mother-in-law tried to teach me once, but that was just my way of getting her to do my laundry for me.” With a laugh, she admitted that she’d be letting Denise in on her secret. “I'm going to call her right now and tell her I said this. ‘Just want you to know,’” she joked. Close bond with the Jonas familySince marrying Nick Jonas in 2018, Priyanka has often spoken about the close bond she shares with his family. From festive celebrations to sweet family outings with their 3-year-old daughter Malti Marie, Priyanka often shares glimpses of their life together on social media.

In a 2023 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, the Quantico star had revealed that the Jonas family had been watching her long before she joined it. Recalling her Miss World win in 2000, she said, “My mother-in-law was like, ‘I remember watching you when you won.’ He (Nick) was 7, I was 17. And he was sitting there, and he was watching.”
