SALEM: Former BJP state president K Annamalai has urged the state govt to provide pension to the retired employees of primary milk cooperative societies.Annamalai was responding to a report on the demand of the retired employees of primary milk cooperative societies published by TOI on Aug 19. In a press statement, Annamalai noted that Tamil Nadu has around 2,000 retired employees of primary milk cooperatives. "The state govt has consistently denied pension benefits to those who have retired from primary milk cooperative societies." He called for the establishment of a separate fund and the allocation of resources to ensure that retired employees of primary milk cooperative societies receive pensions as soon as possible.
