A demoralising opener from Hakimi, followed by a delicious double from Doue, and nails-in-the-coffin from Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu sealed Inter's dismal fate.

Paris Saint-Germain made history under the leadership of Luis Enrique, outshining Inter Milan in a decisive 5-0 victory at the Allianz Arena in Munich to claim their first-ever Champions League trophy.
An opening goal from Hakimi, followed by a splendid brace from Doue, and sealing goals from Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu ensured Inter’s downfall in a comprehensive defeat at Munich.
PSG, appearing in their second Champions League final after losing their first to Bayern Munich in 2020, finally succeeded, dominating Inter to secure the elusive trophy.
For PSG manager Luis Enrique, this victory adds to his illustrious career, which includes overcoming early release by Real Madrid and winning the 2015 title treble at Barcelona, where he also shone as a player.
In their first competitive encounter, PSG took control from the start. Inter’s strategy of inviting pressure from PSG backfired early on.
PSG skipper Achraf Hakimi, formerly of Inter, scored the opening goal in the 12th minute with a simple tap-in, set up by a brilliant through ball from Vitinha.
Inter’s struggles continued as PSG’s intensified attack easily bypassed Inter’s defenses. By the time they realized, it was 2-0 to PSG, with Ousmane Dembele launching a counterattack and delivering a perfect cross to Desire Doue, whose shot deflected off DiMarco and into the net.
Inter managed to hold PSG at bay for the rest of the half, going into halftime with a 2-0 deficit.
Things did not improve for Inter after the break. Despite Inzaghi’s frantic substitutions, their reliance on long balls proved ineffective.
Adding to their misery, Inzaghi received a yellow card for his sideline antics.
PSG struck again in the 63rd minute when Doue scored his second goal, assisted by a backheel pass from Dembele, and was substituted shortly after, sparing Inter further humiliation.
Inter was caught out on a counterattack as Mendes’s through-ball found Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, who stylishly finished to make it 4-0.
Barcola nearly added to the tally with a brilliant solo run, narrowly missing in the 80th minute.
Senny Mayulu, the latest substitute, showed no mercy, finishing off Barcola’s pass to make it 5-0.
That concluded the story of how Luis Enrique and his men waltzed into their first-ever UEFA Champions League title in some style.
