The body of social media influencer Kanchan Kumari, also known as Kamal Kaur, was discovered in a car parked near Adesh Medical University on the Bathinda-Chandigarh National Highway late Tuesday night.

The vehicle, with Ludhiana registration, had been parked in the hospital lot for an extended period, prompting suspicion. A strong foul smell from the car led hospital staff to alert the police.

CCTV footage retrieved by police shows a man driving the vehicle in which Kaur was later found dead. In the video, the man is seen parking the car at the hospital premises before walking away.

Kanchan had a notable presence on social media and had been involved in several controversies online. Kaur had reportedly left home on June 9, informing her family she was travelling to Bathinda for a promotional event. After that, she lost contact with them.

The police have initiated an investigation into the case, and a post-mortem examination is slated for today to determine the cause of death.
