Recently, the singer took to social media to share his views on faith and devotion during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.Rahul posted on Instagram about what he called the growing trend of fake devotion during Ganpati Darshan. Expressing his concern, he questioned whether the festival has turned more into a fashion parade than a moment of true spiritual connection. He even went on to say that nearly half the people would not attend Ganpati Darshan if it wasn’t for Instagram.
His words sparked discussions online, with many agreeing with his point.Rahul also created history this year by becoming the first-ever singer to perform at Lalbaugcha Raja. On 27th August, during Ganesh Chaturthi, he performed at the iconic pandal in Mumbai, which holds a 91-year-old legacy. Sharing the news on Instagram, Rahul wrote, “Blessed to be the first artiste ever to perform at the very prestigious Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbai.”
Speaking about the big moment to ANI, Rahul said, “I am very excited whenever I have to sing or whenever I have a concert. This time, the excitement is even more as the celebration has gotten bigger, thanks to the place where I am performing. Lalbaugcha Raja is the most auspicious and the most blessed stage that anyone can have.”On the work front, Rahul was last seen in the cooking reality show Laughter Chefs, which brought out a fun side of the singer. Speaking about it, he shared, “When I used to go to a show before Laughter Chefs, people used to tell me they still haven’t forgotten my participation in Indian Idol. Now people have somehow stopped talking about it because I think they like Laughter Chefs more.” Apart from this, Rahul also took part in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, where he made it to the finals.
