Rajasthan woman constable suspended after photo of her feet on desk goes viral

UDAIPUR: A woman constable posted at Bichhiwara Police Station in Rajasthan’s Dungarpur district was suspended after a photograph went viral showing her resting both feet on a desk while an elderly man waited to file a complaint.The photograph of the incident was taken by someone at the police station and later shared on social media platforms.The incident raised questions about the working style of the police and sparked public outrage.Considering the seriousness of the matter, Dungarpur SP Manish Kumar took immediate action and woman constable Reena Garg was suspended.Departmental disciplinary action was initiated against the constable.SP Manish stated that this is serious incidence of indiscipline and such casual and dismissive attitude towards citizens seeking police assistance not only breaks the public's trust but also severely damages the department's morale.
