Rajkummar Rao’s Srikanth wins Grand Prix for Best Film at Moscow Disability Film Festival

Rajkummar Rao’s critically acclaimed film, Srikanth, continues to make waves through the industry as it has now bagged a Grand Prix for Best Film at the XIII International Disability Film Festival in Moscow.

Competing against entries from over 60 countries, Srikanth successfully made it mark as a standout feature for depicting the inspiring story of Srikanth Bolla.

Producer Nidhi Parmar shared the news on their Instagram handles in collab with director Tushar Hiranandani, accompanied by the caption, “Srikanth gets more love! What an absolute honour to win the Grand Prix award for the best film at the Breaking Down Barriers International Film Festival in Moscow.

Considering over 60/70 countries participate in this festival where we won the best film, it would have been nice to get some acknowledgement from the juries in our country. There is so much joy in just making a good film and then sitting back and getting acknowledged.

Gratitude to the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Centre, Embassy Of India, Moscow for not just screening our film but also for providing subtitles and audio description for the visually impaired audience. Thank you Moscow for showering so much love and thank you jury for this pat on our back. You infused back in me what I was struggling to understand … the point of making good cinema. Tushar you deserve this and so much more! Thank you @rajkummar_rao@jyotika@alayaf@sharadkelkar@tseriesfilms@srikanthbollaofficial_@ravi_mantha_healer and the entire team that worked on this film and made it what it is. #grateful#award#bestfilm#srikanth
