Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accompanied by other leaders including Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, shared a light moment aboard a Bengaluru Metro train on the Yellow Line he inaugurated, with the leaders seen laughing together. However, it remains unclear what caused the leaders to burst into laughter. After flagging off the much-awaited Yellow Line of Namma Metro -- expected to ease traffic congestion in several overcrowded corridors linking the city’s IT hub -- the Prime Minister took a ride from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Electronic City Metro Station, interacting with students along the way. Ahead of the inauguration, Congress leaders in Karnataka had criticised PM Modi and the BJP, accusing them of neglecting Bengaluru and claiming that funding for the Metro project had been reduced under the BJP-led central government.
