Ram Charan underwent a muscular transformation for his role as a wrestler in the upcoming sports drama ‘Peddi’. During his journey the actor also suffered some injuries and shared that his wrist injury progressed from one tear to seven.
Ram Charan’s wrist injury
While speaking with India Today, Ram Charan shared that he was hurt three or four days before the wrestling scene. He also heard a click which he felt was a cartilage tear. Fearing that the diagnosis might affect his mindset, he avoided getting an MRI immediately.He later added that what was only one tear went on to become seven after they shot for almost 20 days. "It was one tear, but now it's seven tears because of the 20 days of shoot.
I just had to get through the film and wanted it to come on June 4," he said.Earlier in March, it was reported that Ram Charan was injured near his eye during filming an action sequence. It is also reported that he required four sutures for it. The team also confirmed that it is a minor injury and nothing to worry about, as some believed his eye was hurt.
Ram Charan’s fortunate for ‘Peddi’
During the same interview, Ram Charan shared that he is very fortunate to be playing Peddi.
He shared that the team is representing a section that remains unheard and whose voice needs recognition. “To play a character like that, which is very necessary in a country like India. I feel very proud and fortunate to come across the role like this," he said.
About ‘Peddi’
In Peddi’, Ram Charan is shown as an elite sportsman who plays cricket, wrestles and does professional sprinting. Sports seems to be shown as a medium for him to fight for the oppressed.Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the movie includes Janhvi Kapoor, Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu among others in important roles. It will be released on June 4.
