Ranchi Police Arrest Bike Thief and Recover Seven Stolen Vehicles in Kanke Area

Ranchi: Police have arrested member of a gang involved in bike thefts and recovered seven vehicles in the operation in Kanke police station limits, police said on Saturday adding that raids were on to arrest other criminals in this connection.

The accused person has been identified as Tanvir Ansari, a resident of Hossir in Kanke area. Ranchi SP (Rural) Praveen Pushkar said, “A police team was carrying out anti-crime checking near the National University for Study and Research in Law on Friday when Tanvir who was riding a bike without documents was caught. On being questioned, Tanvir said that he had stolen the vehicle from a liqour shop on Hocchar ring road last Tuesday. Ansari added that he also stole another bike from outside a house in Bukru last Sunday.”
