Ranveer Singh's 'Pralay' to go on floors in August 2026; makers rubbish rumours of 'creative differences'

Much has been said about Ranveer Singh's next big venture after the back-to-back success of his spy-action film 'Dhurandhar' and 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'. Amid buzz that the actor will reunite with Aditya Dhar once again for another project, there is now an update about the actor's next film venture.After beating bad guys, Ranveer will soon go to war against zombies in the film 'Pralay'. Amid rumours that the film has been derailed, the makers have now issued a statement, clarifying that the film is progressing as planned, with production set to begin in August 2026.As reported by Variety India, the production clarified that there are no roadblocks affecting the film. An insider was quoted saying, "Reports suggesting any uncertainty around ‘Pralay’ are completely baseless.

Ranveer and Jai have been in continuous discussions and have firmly locked the script. The project has already moved into pre-production, with the entire team actively gearing up to create a never-before-witnessed gigantic spectacle out of Indian cinema.

As it stands, ‘Pralay’ is on track to go on floors by August 2026."For the film, Raveer is reportedly take on an all-new avatar. Described as a large-scale, VFX-heavy action thriller set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world, the film is expected to bring a new take on the zombie genre to Hindi cinema.

Director Jai Mehta has reportedly been developing the project for over a year. The film will reportedly have a budget of around Rs 300 crore.It must be noted that Raveer has not yet signed the film. He is also said to be in discussion with director Aditya Dhar for a historical epic, which could commence after the completion of ‘Pralay’.Reports stated that Singh has been in talks with Dhar for a film set during the reign of Chandragupta Maurya, the founder and the first emperor of the Maurya Empire.

The two are currently riding high on the success of their spy thriller and are reportedly waiting for the dust to settle, before beginning work on their next.Meanwhile, Ranveer has joined his pregnant wife,

on the sets of 'King'. The actress headed to South Africa to join Shah Rukh Khan to shoot the climax of the film that will also star Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and many others. The film is slated for its release on Christmas 2026.
