Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Marquan Rice will have his NFL disciplinary hearing on September 30, 2025, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This means Rice will probably be able to play in the team’s first four games of the season before the league decides on any punishment.

The Chiefs start against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil, on September 5, then face the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, and Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens game will take place just two days before his scheduled hearing.

In a statement, Rice said: “I fully apologize for the harm I caused to innocent drivers and their families.” He also told reporters during training camp that he had “completely changed” since the crash.
