Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda wedding: Sandeep Reddy Vanga arrives in Udaipur; Tamannaah Bhatia to skip reception

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has reached Udaipur ahead of the much-anticipated wedding of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. The couple will tie the knot on February 26 and the ceremony will take place at The Mementoes by ITC Hotels nestled in the scenic Aravalli Range.

Close friends started arriving yesterday while more guests were spotted at the Udaipur airport earlier today.The 'Animal' director holds a meaningful place in the couple’s professional journeys. Vijay collaborated with him in Arjun Reddy which is a film that became a major turning point in the actor’s career. Since then the filmmaker and actor have shared what many describe as a “family-like bond.” Rashmika also teamed up with Vanga for 'Animal' which became one of the highest-grossing films of 2023.

Tamannaah Bhatia confirms she will skip reception

Meanwhile, actressTamannaah Bhatia has confirmed that she will not be able to attend the reception in Hyderabad. When the paparazzi informed her about the wedding she responded warmly with, “Oh, congratulations!” She was then asked whether she would fly to Hyderabad for the reception. Tamannaah clarified, “Shooting kar rahi hoon.” (I am in a shooting.)Bhatia is currently filming 'Vvan' with Sidharth Malhotra and her work commitments prevent her from travelling for the event.

Private ceremony followed by Grand Hyderabad reception

The wedding is intentionally intimate. Reports suggest the couple have chosen to keep the ceremony strictly private, avoiding invitations to most members of the film fraternity. Only family and very close friends will attend the main event in Udaipur. After the wedding, a grand reception is scheduled for March 4, 2026, at the Taj Krishna. Many stars from both Tollywood and Bollywood are expected to attend the Hyderabad celebrations even if they miss the Udaipur ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi sends wishes

Narendra Modi has extended his wishes to the families. In a message addressed to Vijay Deverakonda’s parents, Madhavi and Goverdhan Rao, he wrote, “It is a pleasure to be invited by you to the wedding of Vijay and Rashmika to be held on 26 February 2026. Heartiest congratulations, and greetings to the Deverakonda and Mandanna families on this truly joyous and auspicious occasion.”
