Google CEO Sundar Pichai has officially welcomed Karthik Narain, a former Global CTO of Accenture, to Google Cloud as its new chief product and business officer. Pichai took to professional networking platform LinkedIn to welcome and congratulate Narain.

In a post shared Pichai praised Narain’s deep expertise in enterprise technology and his ability to drive innovation at scale. Narain will head the product and engineering teams across cloud, developer tools, data and applied AI while also overseeing go-to-market strategies and collaborating with Google Public Sector initiatives. “I’m excited that Karthik Narain is joining Google Cloud as its Chief Product and Business Officer, a key leader on Thomas Kurian's exceptional team.

Karthik will partner closely with our Cloud customers as they transform their businesses with AI,” wrote Pichai.

Narain also shared a post on LinkedIn on joining Google Cloud.

Who is Karthik Narain

Narain has earlier worked as a Global Lead for Accenture Technology and played a key role on shaping cloud-first strategies for Fortune 500 clients. Now, his appointment as Google Cloud’s continued push to expand its enterprise footprint and strengthen its AI-driven offerings.Narain also worked as a senior relationship manager at Infosys and completed his masters degree in computer science from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli.
