Ready master plan for Godavari Water Grid project by December: Collector tells stakeholders

AMALAPURAM

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District Collector R. Mahesh Kumar has directed officials and stakeholders to prepare a master plan by early December for the ₹1,650 crore Godavari Water Grid project, including expected damage to existing facilities—drainage and irrigation sources. 

The project will draw the Godavari river water from Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage at Dowleswaram and will supply water across the Konaseema region through a pipeline network under the Jal Jeevan Mission. 

The project is being jointly executed by the departments of Rural Water Supply, Panchayat Raj and Water Resources.
