India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to moderate rain in Dharwad district for the next three days, Deputy Commissioner and chairperson of District Disaster Management Authority Divya Prabhu G.R.J. said on Monday.
As per the IMD forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, orange alert has been declared, while for Thursday, it is a red alert.
In a release, the Deputy Commissioner has said that as there are chances of flood-like situation in the Tupparihalla and Bennihalla catchment areas, village residents have been asked to exercise caution.
