Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake (2027)

Popular leaker Dusk Golem has reported that Resident Evil Code: Veronica is ahead of schedule, and it is anticipated that the remake for the same could arrive in 2027.

It has been given a considerable budget, ensuring that the overall outcome is solid. Added to the massive budget, the development team behind the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remakes is working on Code: Veronica. The developers are treating this as a full-scale flagship project rather than a secondary remake. Accordingly, you can expect major gameplay changes and graphical improvements. Character revisions are also reportedly in the works. According to the rumors, Steve Burnside's crush on Claire will be presented more innocently, and his originally lewd behavior will be changed completely.

Additionally, Albert Wesker is going to have a much larger role, and his H.C.F. organization will be expanded. This will help link Code: Veronica to the later games in the series.

Resident Evil Zero Remake (2028)

Another major remake is set to be Resident Evil Zero. As per the reports, the Resident Evil 3 team is going to be working on the particular project, and a 2028 release date is targeted at the moment. The project is essentially codenamed "Chamber" after Rebecca Chambers, and the game will follow and expand upon the original story, while introducing new cinematic scenes.This remake allegedly suffered an internal delay following "some form of dev reboot.” It was originally expected to arrive before Code: Veronica, but the development shake-up means these projects are expected to swap release positions, with this arriving later in 2028.With Resident Evil Requiem set for late February 2026, 2027 seems like the earliest possible timeframe for Code: Veronica, followed by Zero in 2028, giving fans three consecutive years of major Resident Evil releases.
