The Congress government declared the Sadar festival a State festival and has been extending full financial support for its celebration as it wants to preserve the Telangana culture and ensure future generations are proud of its legacy, said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Speaking as the chief guest at the Sri Krishna Sadar Sammelan held at NTR Grounds, under the aegis of the Sadar Sammelan Utsav Committee, on Sunday, he recalled how culture and customs catapulted the Telangana movement to new heights and festivals like these showcase the importance given to animals in Telangana’s life.

Describing the Yadav community as “a symbol of trust and hard work”, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy lauded them for their long-standing contribution to Telangana’s formation and development. The CM reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the welfare and empowerment of the Yadav community, promising due political recognition and opportunities.

He assured that the party would make sure that every individual receives the recognition and opportunity they deserve, indicating the recent developments where senior leader Anjan Kumar Yadav was not considered for the Jubilee Hills party ticket. “If you have any issues, come to us, and it is my responsibility to resolve them,” he declared, amid applause from the gathering.

Mr. Reddy reminded that the Congress government declared the Sadar festival as a State festival and has been extending full financial support for its celebration. This was not done during the BRS rule and shows the Congress party’s commitment to Yadava community. Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav and senior Congress leader Anjan Kumar Yadav were the key persons behind the festival. Former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya also participated.
