Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his actress wife, Cheryl Hines, are receiving praise online after being seen traveling in economy class on a commercial flight.

In a Tik Tok video, the couple was seen being escorted separately onto a commercial flight and then sitting in economy class beside several passengers.

Several users compared Kennedy and Hines to New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, who have been using private jets to shuttle between stops on Sanders’ “Fighting Oligarchy" rallies.

“Meanwhile, bernie and AOC flying on private jets because ‘we must fight the billionaires," one user wrote.

Footage previously aired by Fox News showed AOC and Sanders stepping off a Bombardier Challenger 604, a luxury jet valued between $5 million and $7 million and costing an astonishing $15,000 per hour to charter.

According to the official website for the campaign, both Democratic politicians were travelling to attend a series of rallies to “have real discussions across America," and take on “the oligarchs and corporate interests who have so much power and influence in this country."

According to Nature journal Communications Earth & Environment, the Bombardier Challenger guzzles a whopping 365 gallons of fuel every 1.32 hours.

The study said that those who regularly travel by private jet produce nearly 500 times more carbon each year than the average person worldwide.

Former HHS Secretary Tom Price also faced criticism for his use of chartered flights during his short tenure in the Trump administration’s first term.

A Politico investigation previously found he used more than $1 million in taxpayer money to fund multi-national trips in 2017.
