Rid Cutbona of idle boats, says fisheries dept

Panaji: The directorate of fisheries has issued a notice directing owners of non-operational and unregistered fishing vessels and dinghies that have been idly berthed or abandoned at the fisheries complex at the Cutbona jetty, to remove them within the next seven days.“These vessels were obstructing the passage for motor vehicles, as a result of which they have been directed to be removed,” said fisheries Director, Shamila Monteiro.Failure to comply will invite necessary action without any further notice, the directorate has warned. tnn
