Students with discipline, ethical conduct, purity in thought, and clarity in action would reach their goals in any field, observes Alapati Raja, MLC and Correspondent of NRI Institute of Technology (NRIIT), Perecherla, in Guntur district.
Mr. Raja participated as chief guest at the seminar on ‘Careers in Management & Sciences’ organised by The Hindu-Future India Club, in association with Paari School of Business and SRM-A.P., in collaboration with NRIIT, at the engineering college on Saturday.
Stating that the students must learn something from the seminar, which would be useful for them to build their career in diversified professions, Mr. Raja said reading The Hindu daily helps in improving knowledge and skills in interested fields. He said the students could improve their command of English and communication skills by reading the newspaper, he added.
Stating that failures were the stepping stones to success in anybody’s career, Mr. Raja suggested that the students learn from the failures and reach their goals instead of getting disappointing.
S.V. Ramana Rao, Associate Dean, Paari School of Business, SRM-A.P., explained about the career opportunities in business and management, and suggested the students to choose the courses depending upon their competencies.
Dr. Ramana Rao said that higher studies at reputed institutions would enhance opportunities in getting best placements and earnings. He said the top leadership in almost all multinational companies had both science and management qualifications. He said that after engineering, the students could pursue MBA for best opportunities in major companies.
