Although the “OTC” Roman Reigns defeated “Big” Bronson Reed at the Clash in Paris PLE a few hours ago, he was in for a brutal beat down by Reed’s group mate Bron Breakker and Reed himself after the match.

The WWE Universe and fans around the world were in for a shocker as the two members of the “Vision” took out Roman Reigns and his brother Jey Uso in cruel fashion, after a brilliant match up between Reed and Reigns. The way Roman was carried out on a stretcher, it looks like he might be legitimately injured and his immediate future in the company looks bleak. Here are four possible repercussions and reasons of the beat down delivered by Breakker and Reed on the “OTC

1 Roman Reigns is legitimately injured

Like we have seen over the years at the end of a PLE, a superstar is brutally beaten down by his opponent or someone else in order to take them off TV, when they are legitimately injured.

The way Roman was carried out on a stretcher after taking two “Spears” from Breakker and three “Tsunami” dives by Reed, that may well have been the case for the “OTC” and he might be out of action for sometime.

2. Roman may have taken a sabbatical

Looking at the value and engagement that Roman brings with him, he is one of the most important superstars and assets for the WWE. Hence, the WWE might be safeguarding him for the upcoming major events such as the Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and Wrestlemaniya in the next six months.

Therefore, Roman might have taken a sabbatical to rest up and be ready for such major upcoming events.

3. Roman maybe out to shoot for Street Fighter

Like his Wrestlemania XL opponent Cody Rhodes, the “Head of the Table” might be on his way to shoot for the live action movie “Street Fighter”. Roman is set to play the role of “Akuma” in the highly anticipated Hollywood flick. Cody is currently shooting for the same in Australia, and Roman might be on his way to shoot his part and that’s why he has been taken off television, via this brutal beat down by the hands of Reed and Breakker.

Although in one of the recent podcasts with Stephanie McMahon, Roman did mention that he does not want to miss WWE while shooting for Hollywood movies, in reality, it might not be possible for the OTC to constantly appear on WWE TV and simultaneously shoot for the movies. Therefore, it might only be apt for the former WWE World Champion to take some time off and return back in time near the Survivor Series “WarGames” PLE.
