The Kalaburagi city police on Thursday announced the externment of a notorious rowdy-sheeter from the city in the interest of public safety. A 37-year-old Jwalendranath, against whom a rowdy sheet has been opened in the Ashok Nagar police station, has been externed to Subramanyapura Police Station in Bengaluru until further orders.
Kanika Sikriwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) has issued the externment order against Jwalendranath.
Jwalendranath, resident of Biddapur colony in the city, was involved in total 15 cases; of which nine major cases registered at Ashok Nagar police station; two cases in Station Bazar police station and one each case at Sub-Urban, Farhatabad, Mahagaon and Shahabad police stations. He was also facing attempted murder and assault cases and was indulged in several illegal activities and creating an atmosphere of fear.
This was the second case of externment in this month. Last week the Kalaburagi police had externed a rowdy sheeter Chetan Hibatti from Ashok Nagar Police station to Tumakuru town police station.
