The Bengaluru Bravehearts notched their second win, while the Hyderabad Heroes continued their undefeated run, securing a hat-trick of victories during the Rugby Premier League (RPL) Season 1 at the Shahaji Raje Bhosale Sports Complex (Andheri Sports Complex) on Thursday.

The Bengaluru Bravehearts triumphed over the Mumbai Dreamers in a tense, low-scoring match, winning 12-7. Conversely, the Hyderabad Heroes dominated their game, finishing with an impressive 43-12 score.

In the day’s first match, the Bengaluru Bravehearts began with a flourish. Akuila Rokolisoa scored a try and converted his kick, putting his team in the lead. The Mumbai Dreamers, still chasing their first win, responded as Waisea Nacuqu matched Rokolisoa’s try and conversion, drawing level.

The Dreamers tried to hold off their opponents, but just before halftime, the Bravehearts regained the lead with a decisive try from Scott Curry. From that point, the Bravehearts expertly managed the game, securing a crucial victory against the determined Dreamers.

In the second match, the Kalinga Black Tigers, desperate for a win, struck first against the Hyderabad Heroes, with Perry Baker scoring the opening try, catching the Heroes off guard.

The Hyderabad Heroes quickly showcased why they occupy the top half of the table. They ramped up the pressure, with pivotal tries from Motu Opetai and Javed Hussein, and two successful conversions from Terio Tamani.

Before halftime, Deepraj Rajabhosale scored an essential try, and Maurice Longbottom’s conversion left the Tigers trailing by just two points with two quarters remaining.

After the break, the Hyderabad Heroes countered the Tigers’ attacks with their own. Terio Tamani, Max Roddick, and Joji Nasova each added tries, with Tamani contributing six more points through conversions. With four minutes left, the Heroes were leading 33-12.

In the final quarter, Manuel Moreno and Joji Nasova each scored another try, sealing the game. The Heroes emerged victorious with a commanding 43-12 win.
