RTC bus catches fire in Kurnool district

Minor fire broke in an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus at Gonegandla mandal in Kurnool district on Tuesday.

The bus was on its way to Kurnool from Adoni when the driver noticed smoke from the engine and brought the vehicle to a sudden halt. Nearly 40 passengers were present in the bus and the driver alerted them to de-board the vehicle. The driver and the passengers did not suffer any injuries. Locals rushed to the place and doused the flames by pouring water.
