Television star Rupali Ganguly recently voiced her frustration over the severe traffic congestion she faced while traveling to the Film City set in Goregaon, Mumbai. What is usually a one-hour commute turned into a grueling two-and-a-half-hour ordeal due to ongoing metro construction and what she described as poor traffic management by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).Taking to social media, Rupali shared a video from her rickshaw, capturing the jam-packed road. She criticized the BMC for its decision to move massive metro construction containers during peak hours, around 10 a.m., which blocked half the road and brought traffic to a standstill. “Why can’t these activities be scheduled in the early morning, between 3 and 4 a.m., when there’s minimal traffic? It feels like Mumbaikars are being taken for granted,” Rupali said, calling the functioning of the civic body “haphazard” and disorganized.The Anupamaa actress also raised environmental concerns, pointing out the destruction of trees in and around the Film City area due to the construction work.
