S Janaki’s granddaughter BREAKS silence, clears air on her father Murali Krishna’s death and other rumours

After the death of the son of iconic playback singer S. Janaki, Murali Krishna, her granddaughter Apsara Vydyula, who is the daughter of Murali Krishna, has issued a comprehensive statement to respond to the false news spread on social media and certain section of the media.

The clarification was intended to serve the outlook of the family in terms of transparency and neutralization of reports, which were fact-based untruths, mainly those that were about Janaki's health. By her message, Apsara attempted to clear the air and appeal for patience in this transitional period.

Apsara confirms Murali Krishna’s passing

In her statement, Apsara Vydyula said, "It is with deep sorrow that I confirm the passing of my father, Murali Krishna, on January 22, 2026 at 12:55 am in Mysuru, while he was under treatment for a prolonged illness."

Besides, she added that the moments of his death, he had been with the people in the family and with others who had been in the families. She added that the end of the body was peacefully agreed upon by the family, who had his wish from the family.

S Janaki's health status clarified

While responding to the fright that has gripped people concerning her grandmother, Apsara stated that while S. Janaki is quite heartbroken with the death of her son, she is not sick, meaning she isn't bedridden, and so forth.
