Salman Khan set to begin shooting ‘Battle of Galwan’ in August;intense Ladakh schedule to follow - Reports

After months of meticulous planning and preparation, Salman Khan is ready to begin filming his upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan. Inspired by the heroic story of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu, the film is based on a chapter from the acclaimed book India’s Most Fearless 3 by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. According to Mid Day, Salman will start shooting in the first week of August, beginning with a key schedule at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studio.Currently, the production team is hard at work constructing detailed sets at the studio. “The set is being designed to match the emotional tone of the film’s early narrative. We should be ready by the end of this month,” shared a crew member. The initial schedule is expected to last 10 to 12 days and will capture pivotal moments that lay the groundwork for Salman’s character development.High Stakes in Ladakh Following the Mumbai leg, the team will move to Ladakh for the second and more physically demanding schedule. A unit insider revealed that the Ladakh shoot will involve combat training, night shoots, and full-scale simulated battle scenes. “It’s going to be intense. The action portions are designed to be realistic and emotionally charged. Salman has been preparing extensively for this since May,” the insider said.

The production team is reportedly working closely with military consultants to bring authenticity to the battle sequences. First Look Coming Soon Even before the cameras start rolling, Salman has already completed promotional shoots and look tests for the film. A team member confirmed that the first official look will be revealed shortly. “He wrapped up all the promotional materials last week. His transformation for the role is remarkable—it’s something his fans will be proud of,” the source added.Meanwhile, Salman Khan is yet to make an impressive comeback after a series of underwhelming films including his recent film ‘Sikandar’.
