New Delhi: Samsung’s recent announcements and reports from multiple Samsung-affiliated sources suggest that One UI 9 will be introduced on July 22, 2026. Samsung is expected to debut its One UI 9 based on Android 17 during its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026.
Whereas the software has been available in beta for the Galaxy S26 series, this event will mark its official public release along with Samsung’s newest foldable devices. Samsung has also confirmed that the July 22 event will unveil the next generation of Galaxy devices, which includes:
- Galaxy Z Fold 8
- Galaxy Z Flip 8
- Galaxy Z Flip 8 FE
- Galaxy Watch models
- Stable One UI 9 rollout announcement
Samsung has already begun promoting the event via its developer portal with the tagline “Prepare for One UI 9.” Reports indicate Samsung might begin releasing the stable One UI 9 upgrade shortly after the July 22 announcement, and following its recent strategy of unveiling the latest foldables with the latest software. Samsung has also started upgrading some applications and Good Lock modules for One UI 9 compatibility.
Samsung typically uses a major launch event to unveil its next-generation software experience. Samsung’s official developer website now prominently references “Prepare for One UI 9” along with the July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event, strongly suggesting that the software will be one of the keynote announcements.
