In a recent update, actress Samyuktha Varma has informed her fans about a slew of fake accounts pretending to be her on social media. She emphasized that her genuine presence is solely on her verified Instagram account. A deceptive Facebook page has gained a staggering 175,000 followers by using her personal images, causing confusion among her supporters.
Actress Samyuktha Varma has issued a public warning to her followers after discovering that multiple fake social media accounts are operating under her name. The veteran actor clarified that she is active only on Instagram, through her verified blue-tick handle, and has no presence on Facebook or any other platforms.
Biju Menon shares Samyuktha's message
In a video message shared via her husband Biju Menon’s official Instagram account, the actress urged fans to stay alert and not fall prey to impersonation scams.Sharing her concerns, Samyuktha stated, “The only social media account I use is my verified Instagram profile with a blue tick. I am not active on any other platforms. Without my knowledge or consent, a Facebook account has been created. Many people are mistakenly following it, believing it’s me, and even sending personal messages.
These are times when online scams are rampant — please be cautious.”
Her statement comes after a fake Facebook account under her name gained over 1.75 lakh followers, misleading fans by posting personal photos and family updates. The actress clarified that none of those posts are hers and urged her supporters to report such impersonations.The video message was amplified by actor Biju Menon, who shared it on his official handle.
Samyuktha and Biju, who married in 2002, share a son, Daksh Dharmik.
