Sanjay Dutt fondly remembers his mother Nargis on her birth anniversary: "Miss You Every Day'

Sanjay Dutt, who is gearing up for his role in the forthcoming movie 'Housefull 5,' is celebrating the birth anniversary of his mother, the iconic actress Nargis.Paying Tribute to NargisOn Sunday, Sanjay took to Instagram to honor his mother by posting two throwback photos. The first is a classic black-and-white portrait of Nargis, and the second captures a moment with his mother alongside his late father, the renowned actor and politician Sunil Dutt.

Accompanying the images, the actor heartfeltly wrote, “Happy birthday maa, I miss you every day and love you more."

Legacy of NargisNargis played strong and independent women in different genres, from comedies to serious dramas. In the 1950s and 1960s, she was one of the highest-paid actresses. She married Sunil Dutt, her co-star in the movie 'Mother India', in 1958, the same year the film was nominated for an Oscar.

It is said that Sunil Dutt saved her from a fire on the set of 'Mother India', a story that was mentioned in the Shah Rukh Khan movie 'Om Shanti Om'.
