Sasikumar clinched the Best Actor award at the Chennai International Film Festival for his role in 'Tourist Family'. Director Bala penned an emotional letter praising Sasikumar's spirit and urging him to direct again, a wish Sasikumar vowed to fulfill. Director-actor Sasikumar won the Best Actor award at this year's Chennai International Film Festival for his outstanding performance in the film 'Tourist Family' directed by Abhishan Jeevinth.

Bala praises Sasikumar's fighting spirit
Sasikumar's success has made director Bala, who has a close working relationship with him, very happy. Bala has written a letter to Sasikumar expressing his heartfelt appreciation and love. In that letter, he described Sasikumar as a man full of love and someone who could calm even the most turbulent sea with his nature. Bala has mentioned that his fighting spirit and simple nature have made him a complete artist.

'Tourist Family', an emotional tale
Sasikumar played the role of a Sri Lankan Tamizhan who migrates to India due to his financial situation in 'Tourist Family'. He emerged as a character who transformed the lives of those around him through his simplicity, humanity, and kindness. Although the contributions of actors, including Simran and Yogi Babu, also added strength to the film, Sasikumar's natural acting was the centerpiece of the story. Due to this, the film was well received by the public and even won the Best Film Award at the festival.
