Sawan 2025 Start Date: One of the holiest and most revered months in Hinduism is Sawan. The sole purpose of this entire month is to worship Lord Shiva. All followers of Lord Shiva pay prayers to Lord Shiva and celebrate with great reverence during this month.

In 2025, Sawan Month will begin from Pratipada Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashadha i.e., on July 11, 2025 and conclude on August 9, 2025

Sawan 2025: Significance

For Hindus, sawan holds an immense religious and spiritual significance. This month is regarded as the most holy and devout of the year. Shravana Month is another name for Sawan Month. With great devotion and commitment, devotees offer prayers to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. To end their agony, they worship to Shiva lingam with Panchamrit and Ganga Jal.

Sawan 2025: Puja Rituals

Before beginning the puja procedures, devotees take a holy bath after rising early in the morning.

Make the house, and the puja room clean. Place an idol of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati on a wooden board, light a diya with desi ghee, and say a prayer. Chant vedic mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva to invoke the idol. The Shravan Maas Katha and Shiva Chalisa are recited by devotees. They then go to the temple and present Shivalingam with panchamrit, which is made out of milk, curd, sugar powder, honey, and ghee.

In the end, offer water to Shivlingam again, decorate the Shivlingam with various flowers and the Bilva Patra, which is highly important to Lord Shiva, and offer white sweets. Additionally, devotees must to present itra, chandan, and akshat.
