When the deadline ended on Tuesday, the State Election Commission (SEC) had received a little over 4.62 lakh applications for inclusion of names on the voters’ list for the 2025 local body elections.
The commission headed by A. Shajahan had given citizens time till Tuesday (October 14) for fling their applications for enrolment, making corrections, deletions and shifting of locations as part of the voter roll revision.
As per data released by the commission on Tuesday evening, it received 4,62,877 Form-4 (enrolment) applications, 1,96,214 Form-5 (deletion) applications, and 4,662 Form-6 (corrections) applications. The commission also received 57,593 applications through Form-7 for transposition or moving a voter to another ward.
The commission will scrutinise the applications and publish the final voters’ list on October 25
