Security breach at Rajasthan Assembly, SUV crashes into railing, driver flees

A serious security breach was reported at the Rajasthan state assembly in the early hours of Monday after an SUV rammed into its railing, causing significant damage before fleeing the scene.

According to officials, the incident occurred between 3 and 3.30 am when a white Toyota Fortuner struck the assembly’s railing.

The CCTV footage recovered from the scene shows the vehicle ramming the barrier and causing extensive damage. Glass shards from the SUV were scattered across the area, suggesting the vehicle was travelling at high speed at the time of impact.

After hitting the railing, the car immediately fled the scene. However, cameras in place around the area have managed to capture images of the SUV.

A formal complaint has been lodged at Jaipur’s Jyoti Nagar Police Station in this regard and a hunt is on to trace the vehicle and its driver.
