Taylor Swift’s $15M Jet move sparks outrage amid Travis Kelce wedding rumors(Getty)
Taylor Swift is facing fresh heat over her private jet use, and this time the numbers are hard to ignore. New flight records show a heavy rise in her travel over the last few months, and critics have once again started questioning the environmental cost. The conversation has only grown louder because it comes at a time when rumors around Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding continue to build. Every trip now feels tied to something bigger.
Taylor Swift’s jet use sparks backlash while Travis Kelce's wedding rumours keep building
The strongest criticism came from climate advocate Chuck Collins after new flight data surfaced. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Collins called private jets “the least defensible, most irresponsible form of transportation from a global pollution point of view.”He pushed harder when Taylor Swift’s security concerns over public flight tracking came up.“The concern about security is bull**.”Collins argued that delayed tracking would still protect her location while keeping the environmental impact visible. He then made his point even sharper.“If she made a decision to give up the jet, it would have a huge cultural impact. We love your music. Park the jet.”His comments came after JetSpy reported that Swift’s Dassault Falcon 7X had completed 81 flights since March after a long maintenance break.
The aircraft logged 169 hours, burned more than 60,500 gallons of fuel, and produced around 580 metric tons of carbon emissions. Before returning to service, the Falcon 7X spent nearly nine months in maintenance at a facility in Little Rock, Arkansas. Reports claim the jet underwent a major $15 million refurbishment, including cabin upgrades, a fresh paint job, and a new registration number. Those changes quickly drew attention online, with critics arguing the rebrand made public flight tracking harder. That total has drawn serious attention because it reportedly exceeds the estimated 505 metric tons associated with her full Eras Tour in 2024. The recent travel pattern has also fueled personal speculation. Swift flew four times in March, 19 in April, and 31 in May. June has already added 26 more flights.
Some of those trips matched major appearances. She reportedly flew to Los Angeles for the “Toy Story 5” premiere and then made it to New York for a Knicks game the next day.
Over the weekend, she was also seen boarding the jet in Connecticut near her Rhode Island estate. That sighting added more fuel to the Travis Kelce wedding rumors. Reports claim the couple could be planning a private July ceremony, with some insiders saying guests may only learn the location on the morning of the event. While neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce has confirmed anything, the growing activity around her Rhode Island home and recent spikes in travel have kept fans guessing. Swift's camp has defended her before, saying she often loans the jet to family and friends. But right now, with wedding talk and flight records colliding, Taylor Swift’s private jet remains at the centre of both stories.
