Singer-actress Selena Gomez recently shared her dream of building a big family with her husband, Benny Blanco. The 33-year-old star revealed that she would love to have four children one day.

A sweet confession on the podcast

While speaking during the second episode of the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, hosted by Benny Blanco with his close friends Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco. While discussing how many children they plan to have, the ‘Only Murders in the Building’ actress shared that she wants four, according to a report by PEOPLE.Benny Blanco asked Lil Dicky and Batalucco how many children they hoped to have. Lil Dicky said “one, two max,” while Batalucco shared that she would like “three.”

That is when Selena Gomez chimed in and said, “I want four, but that’s out there.”

Inspired by ‘The Family Stone’

She also explained that her wish for a big family is inspired by a scene from the 2005 holiday film ‘The Family Stone’. As seen in the movie, Selena Gomez shared that the character played by Diane Keaton reminded her of her “nana”. She especially loves a dinner table scene in the film and dreams of having a similar moment one day with her own family gathered around.

"One day at my dinner table, when I'm her age, I want to see that dinner table," said the ‘Calm Down’ singer. "Whatever happens, happens. If we're only able to have one, none. I hope... we don't know. But my dream for sure was that scene where they're all at the dinner table and they're just with their partners or their significant others or kids or single and it's just like this beautiful cast of characters," she added.She also shared that raising kids may be “crazy hell” until they grow up.The ‘Lose You to Love Me’ singer married Benny Blanco in September 2025.
