Selena Gomez and Jason Kelce just handed fans two very different windows into the Taylor Swift orbit in the same week. One is a stitched, hand-painted love letter between best friends.

The other is a five-year-old barging into a taping to shout that she loves “Uncle Travvy.”Both moments are recent, both are on tape and both cut through the usual headline noise around Swift, Travis Kelce and their extended circle.

Selena Gomez talks Taylor Swift's handmade 'next 30 years' painting and confirms 'Dorothea' is about her

On Benny Blanco’s Friends Keep Secrets podcast, Gomez walked listeners through the 30th birthday gift Swift made for her back in 2022, a story first shared in detail by outlets including Cosmopolitan and People.

She said Swift did not just buy something expensive. She sat down and built it.“She painted a beautiful lake,” Gomez said. “It was at night and the moon was there. In the stars, she painted our exact star signs.”Gomez added that Swift also stitched a message straight into the piece. “She did it on an actual cloth. She sewed every letter. It was the sweetest gift.” The line she chose was simple and on brand for a friendship that has lasted since their teenage years: “Here’s to the next 30 years.”

On a separate recent episode of Friends Keep Secrets, Gomez confirmed what fans had suspected since 2020. “Well, Dorothea's about me, one of her songs,” she said, tying the Evermore track to their shared history. She explained that they were still figuring out fame when they met. “We didn't really know like what was going on, and so we've never seen each other any differently. So, when I listen to [‘Dorothea’], I'm so impressed how it's eloquently put.

Gomez also brought up an unreleased Swift song called Family that was written about them more than a decade ago. She said the lyrics framed Gomez as someone chasing movie dreams with lines like “in every crowd I still see you” and Swift as the friend who told her, “You believe in my stupid dreams like playing stadiums.”Put together, the painting, Dorothea and Family all point in the same direction. Swift is not just writing about friendship in the abstract.

She is documenting a specific one, and she is still investing real time into it.

Ellie Kelce turns 'New Heights' with Jason and Travis Kelce and Randy Moss into a family moment

While Gomez was talking through stitched stars, the Kelce family was dealing with a different kind of unscripted moment on camera. In the March 4 episode of New Heights with Travis Kelce and guest Randy Moss, Jason Kelce’s five-year-old daughter Elliotte “Ellie” Kelce wandered into the shot looking for her winter coat, a scene first highlighted by People.Jason and Travis were in the middle of their conversation with Moss when a small figure in what looked like a gymnastics outfit appeared in the background, wrestling with a puffy jacket. “Is Ellie in the background?” Jason asked, while Travis started laughing and said, “This is so funny.”Jason tried to clear the set. “Can you go upstairs, girlie?” he asked his daughter. She shook her head and stayed put. If she was going to be there, he decided to at least turn it into a moment.

He told her, “Say hi to the greatest receiver to ever play football,” and handed over the headphones.Ellie faced the camera and said, “Hi, Randy Moss!” Moss did not play it cool. “Hi, baby! How are you?” he replied. She slipped out of frame, then ran back in for the line fans grabbed for clips on social media. “Love you, Uncle Travvy! Love you, Randy Moss!” she yelled, while Jason tried to steer her out of the room. The cameo fits a pattern. Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce have let their daughters Wyatt, Ellie, Bennett and Finn pop into both New Heights and Kylie’s Not Gonna Lie without turning them into full-time content.

Kylie has already spoken to People about keeping their kids off social media and away from online pressure, saying parents should let kids be kids. That is why the clip landed the way it did. Viewers got a raw moment between brothers, a Hall of Fame receiver and a five-year-old who clearly adores her uncle and his guest, without it feeling staged or overly polished. In the span of a couple of days, fans watched Gomez pull the curtain back on a meticulous painting and songs that track a 17-year friendship, then watched Ellie crash her dad’s podcast and shout out Travis Kelce and Randy Moss on air. Different settings, same takeaway. Behind the Swift-Kelce headlines are people who have been in each other’s lives for a long time, still showing up in very specific ways.
