Danve demanded the appointment of an independent committee to probe events that allegedly took place during the postmortem conducted after Borse’s death
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Shiv Sena (UBT) functionary and MLC Ambadas Danve has written to Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis seeking a high-level and impartial inquiry into alleged irregularities and suspicious circumstances surrounding the postmortem of Ellora-based headmaster Suresh Borse. In his letter sent on Sunday, Danve demanded the appointment of an independent committee to probe events that allegedly took place during the postmortem conducted after Borse's death. He said several questions had arisen regarding a meeting between the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district superintendent of police and the dean of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) while the autopsy process was underway.Danve stated the purpose of the meeting remained unclear and had given rise to public suspicion. He sought clarification on whether the doctors conducting the postmortem were called for the meeting and whether any attempt was made to exert pressure, influence or intimidation on the medical officers involved in preparing the autopsy report. The Sena (UBT) functionary also questioned whether the meeting could have had any bearing on the impartiality of the postmortem findings. Danve said it was essential that the truth behind the matter be established through an independent and unbiased inquiry so that public confidence in the administrative and investigative machinery remained intact. He urged state govt to immediately constitute a special investigation committee comprising senior administrative officials, judicial officers and independent medical experts to examine all aspects of the case.
