Senior Citizens’ Service Council State conference held

The two-day State Conference of the Senior Citizens’ Service Council drew to a close on Sunday.

P. Chandrasenan was appointed president and K.L. Sudhakaran was named general secretary.

The newly elected secretariat includes N. Ananthakrishnan, S. Hanifa Rawther, G. Surendran Pillai, P. Vijayamma, K.K. Neelakandhakurup, C. Vamadev, G. Krishnankutty, Balan Olikal, and M.F. Francis. A 231-member State Council and a 140-member State Committee were also elected.

As part of the conference, a seminar on senior citizens’ rights and laws was organized, inaugurated by former Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran, with S. Hanifa Rawther presenting the topic.
