Senior employee of private firm booked for sexually assaulting woman

A senior employee of a private insurance firm in SR Nagar was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing an employee.

SR Nagar police inspector T. Srinath Reddy said that the accused, Siddharth Choudhary, 45, was arrested following a complaint from the woman, aged 24.

“The victim joined the company about 15 days ago. On August 16, she approached us and complained that Siddharth spoke to her inappropriately and misbehaved with her,” said the officer.

It was also revealed that she had warned him of a complaint after which he apologised but continued the harassment.

Based on her complaint, a case was booked and he was arrested.
