3.5/5Sennheiser recently launched the Momentum 4 Wireless 80th Anniversary Edition in India. Priced at Rs 26,990, the headphones feature street art-inspired design and the brand's signature premium audio performance.
A major design highlight of the limited-edition headphones is the artwork by German graffiti artist Bond Truluv, combining Sennheiser's legendary sound quality with bold visual aesthetics. The Momentum 4 Wireless 80th Anniversary Edition is available through multiple channels in India, including Sennheiser's official website, Amazon India, and Flipkart. We have been using the device for sometime and here’s our review
Design
The Sennheiser Momentum 4 80th Anniversary Edition instantly stands out the moment you see it.
The left earcup features Truluv’s signature “throwie” tag over a raw, textured background that gives it a bold, street-inspired look. On the right, abstract patterns resembling audio waves add a sense of rhythm and energy — a nice nod to the brand’s audio heritage. Touches of yellow across the design pay tribute to the iconic Sennheiser HD 414 headphones, connecting the brand’s rich history with this modern celebration of sound.
Even with its artistic touches, the overall design remains clean, modern, and premium — very much in line with the classic Momentum 4 style. The headband is softly cushioned for comfort, and the oval earcups are generously padded to fit around the ears without pressure. They feel light at just around 290 grams, making them comfortable to wear for hours — whether you’re working, traveling, or just relaxing with music.

All essential controls are thoughtfully placed on the right earcup, including the power and pairing button, USB-C charging port, and LED indicators. Everything feels well put together and easy to reach, without breaking the sleek design. Overall, the Momentum 4 80th Anniversary Edition combines striking looks with premium comfort and practicality — a perfect balance of art and engineering.
Performance
Our experience with the Sennheiser Momentum 4 80th Anniversary Edition was smooth right from the start.
From pairing it with our smartphone and laptop, to downloading and installing the Sennheiser Smart Control app, everything was seamless. The app adds a layer of customization, enabling one to tweak noise cancellation, adjust sound through an equalizer or even set ‘Smart Pause”. When enabled, the smart pause feature automatically automatically pauses your music when you take the headphones off.
It’s intuitive, easy to explore, and gives you full control over how the headphones behave.Talking about the touch controls, a quick swipe or tap on the earcups adjusts volume, changes tracks or answers calls. The touch response is accurate and feel second nature – perfect for when you’re on the move. Connecting the Momentum 4 to your device – be it laptop or smartphone does not disappoint. The headphones connect wirelessly via Bluetooth or can be plugged in with a cable as per one’s choice. The wireless connection stays stable even when one moves around.
The audio lag is minimal, making them ideal for streaming and gaming.

Coming to the sound quality, it is where the Momentum 4 headphones truly shine. The audio is rich and detailed, with a touch of extra bass that makes music sound full without being overpowering. Vocals are crisp and clear. Instruments are well balanced, no matter which genre we listened to. Whether it’s a quiet acoustic track like Phir Le Aaya Dil or Tera Yaar Hoon Main, or a bass-heavy pop number such as Malang or Ghungroo, the Momentum 4 delivers clear, spacious sound with great depth.
Active noise cancellation of the Sennheiser Momentum 4 80th Anniversary Edition is another highlight of the device. It cuts out background sound effectively – from office chatter to traffic noise. – allowing us to stay focused on music or calls. The adaptive mode on the headphone adjusts automatically based on the surroundings. Call quality is solid as well. The built-in microphones pick up your voice clearly, and while they might struggle a bit in windy conditions, they perform reliably in most everyday situations like meetings or quick chats outdoors.

As far as the battery is concerned, Sennheiser claims the Momentum 4 can last up to 60 hours of battery life. During our testing, the headphones lasted close to 57 hours with ANC on. Even with mixed usage – switching between music, calls, and occasional standby — they easily lasted several days before needing a recharge. The quick charge feature adds to the convenience – just 10 minutes of charging can provide up to 4 hours of battery.
