Several people have been stabbed and wounded near a shopping centre in the Finnish city of Tampere on Thursday, AFP reported, citing police.

Police said in a statement they had arrested one person and that the situation no longer posed a danger to others.

They further added that the injured are being given first aid. “The situation no longer poses a danger to outsiders. The victims are being given first aid," police said in a statement, adding that they were currently unable to provide more details, including the number of victims.
