Activists of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and the Kerala Students Union (KSU) engaged in a skirmish at Government Law College, Thrissur on Monday.
The scuffle occurred allegedly over erecting a banner against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the State. A purported video of the incident showed the groups of the students engaging in a heated argument leading to a skirmish on the college campus. One of them is seen pulling down a banner, reading “STOP SIR”, erected by the KSU on the college gate. Two KSU activists were reportedly injured in the incident. The Thrissur West police said no case was registered over the incident.
