Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon's Cocktail 2 song ‘Jab Talak’ to debut with Rashmika Mandanna's 'Thamma' in theaters

The Diwali release 'Thamma' is all set to hit theaters tomorrow, and excitement for the film continues to rise. The horror comedy, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal, is part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.

As anticipation builds, audiences can expect even more surprises with its release, which includes the teaser of 'Ikkis' and the announcement promo of 'Shakti Shalini.' Adding to the thrill, a song promo from 'Cocktail 2' will also be attached to 'Thamma.'

CBFC clears Cocktail 2 song promo ‘Jab Talak’

A trade source told Bollywood Hungama, “A song promo of 'Cocktail 2,' titled ‘Jab Talak’, was passed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on October 16.

Its run time is 111 seconds, that is, 1 minute and 51 seconds, and it has been passed with a U/A 16+ rating.”The source added, “The theaters have been informed of the promos to be shown with Thamma, and one of them is that of 'Cocktail 2;' the other two being 'Ikkis' and 'Shakti Shalini.' 'Cocktail 2’s' release is many months away, but it’s a big, vibrant film, as evident from the on-set pictures from Sicily, Italy. Also, with audiences expected to arrive in hordes for 'Thamma' in cinemas, it’s a great time to present its first look.

Maddock Films strengthens its cinematic universe

Like 'Thamma,' 'Cocktail 2' is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. The first 'Cocktail' (2012) starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and introduced Diana Penty, becoming one of the most stylish romantic dramas of its time. The sequel, directed once again by Homi Adajania, features Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles.Interestingly, Rashmika also stars in 'Thamma,' linking both Maddock projects in a unique way. 'Thamma' is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who previously helmed 'Munjya' (2024), another hit from Maddock’s Horror Comedy Universe. Since 'Shakti Shalini' belongs to the same universe, its promo releasing alongside Thamma feels perfectly timed.
