Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s NBA Finals family portrait was obstructed by a cute little intruder. His wife, Hailey Summers, and the NBA star were left amazed by the little showstopper, Ares Alexander. According to a clip posted by the official handle of the NBA on Instagram, little Ares Alexander happily captured the man of the moment during his dad’s portrait session. The NBA posted “@shai's son Ares stole the show when the family posed with the Larry O'Brien and Bill Russell trophies after winning the title! #NBABDAY”
Back in May 2025, during Game 1 of the Western Conference finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander took a moment to celebrate with his wife, Hailey Summers, and their young son, Ares Alexander, at center court.
In one clip, Summers tried to teach Ares how to dribble a basketball by bouncing it in front of him. But instead of grabbing the ball, the curious toddler wandered off, adding a playful touch to the moment. In another short video, Ares finally sprang into action, chasing after the ball and bringing smiles to those watching from the sidelines.The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves with 114-88. According to a special moment captured by SportsCenter, Gilgeous-Alexander was seen carrying his little one in his arms while hugging his wife, Hailey Summers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the OKC Thunder in the 2025 NBA Finals and even went on to claim the MVP.
